Serious question here, I speak my mind and often get ridiculed or worse?

Why does it seem today that everything must be sugar coated? For instance in the workplace, you can't take a worthless employee in the back office and rip his azz for being worthless like you could years ago. Now you you have to be all gentle and sappy and be like, oh it's ok, everything will be alright. Just try a little harder next time. It's not just in the workplace, it's everywhere, even here. You tell someone the truth and they get all offended and bent out of shape. But I'm a firm believer in "calling a spade a spade". For instance, If someone asks a question if they should get their pierced or not I'm not going to sugar coat it at all. I'm not going to say something stupid like, whatever floats your boat man, do what's best for you. I'm going to tell you if you do it you are a total idiot and complete loser because that's what I believe. I am a person of conviction and I don't see anything wrong with that. I think more people need to be like this. Any comments???
