Do you remember ration stamps issued for the purchase of gasoline, kerosene heating oil?

We did not travel too much, maybe once in a while across the Hudson to Paterson, or Hawthorne New Jersey, to visit kin. We were at war, and adjusted quite well to doing with a limited amount of milk, er, eggs,, and sugar. We saved our grease, and were lucky to get meat, those of us that had the space grew vegatables. We are at war now! but no one seems to be concerned, bad times are waiting around the corner, and the Hollywood bunch will feel it worse, because we have spoiled them, and made them think they are really special.
